Hetauda : Five new cases of Corona Virus have been confirmed in Parbat and Nawalparasi (east) today. According to the 6:00 am bulletin published by State Health Directorate, Pokhara, four people in Parbat and one in Nawalparasi tested positive to the virus.

With this the number of infected has reached 197 in the State as of this morning. A six-year-old child, 17-year-old woman, 17-year-old man, 16-year-old man were found infected in Parbat. They were staying in different quarantines in the district. They are now being taken to the isolation centre of the District Hospital, Director of the Directorate Dr Binod Bindu Sharma said.

In Nawalparasi, a 45-year-old man quarantined in Madhyabindu municipality was found infected. He will be taken to the Community Naturopathy hospital, Rajahar.

All but Manang and Mustang districts in Gandaki State have reported infection with 60 in Syangja, 43 in Nawalaparsi east, 40 in Baglung, 26 in Parbat, 15 in Gorkha, five in Kaski, four in Tanahu, three in Myagdi and one in Lamjung. Of the infected, three are women.

So far, 11 of the infected have returned home after recovery. One succumbed to the virus.
